Car seats manufactured for the United States must meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213 (FMVSS 213). This standard is set forth by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). 

 

CMVSS 213

Car seats manufactured for the Canadian market must meet the Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213 (CMVSS 213).
